Esta festividad sucedía en la parroquia de San Rafael dos veces al año: en abril, durante Semana Santa, y el 19 de agosto, el día de San Luis Obispo.

El prioste desempeñaba el papel de “Capitán de Corazas”, a quien vestían y decoraban las “vestidoras”. El Coraza se distinguía por su «máscara»: un sombrero del cual colgaban joyas, aretes y perlas que forman una cortina que cubría absolutamente su rostro.
Los encargados de la pirotecnia lideraban la marcha, seguidos por los “Maestros” o músicos indígenas, los Yumbos, el Coraza montando a caballo, los Loas y, finalmente, la banda de pueblo. La procesión llegaba a la iglesia donde el Loa recitaba alabanzas a los Santos y al Capitán de Corazas. La fiesta terminaba en casa del prioste, con comida y bebida.
This festivity took place in San Rafael parish twice a year: in April, during Holy Week, and on August 19, San Luis Obispo’ day. The prioste played the role of “Captain of Corazas”, who was dressed and decorated by the “vestidoras”. The Coraza was distinguished by his “mask”: a hat from which hung jewels, earrings and pearls forming a curtain that covered their entire face.
Fireworks handlers led the procession, followed by the “Maestros” or indigenous musicians, the Yumbos, the Coraza on horseback, the Loas, and finally, the town band. The procession arrived at the church where the Loa recited praises to the Saints and the Captain of Corazas. The celebration ended at the prioste’s house with food and drink.
